Portrait of Katrin Sigl

Welcome to my psychotherapy practice. I accompany young people in understanding difficult phases, developing new perspectives, and finding more confidence and well-being in everyday life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

for Children, Adolescents, Young Adults (up to 21 years)

I offer psychotherapy with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy – both as individual and group therapy. During their developmental years, young people encounter diverse challenges and stressful life situations. Cognitive behavioral therapy provides scientifically based support and helps to better understand psychological stress and develop new ways of coping with it.

Treatment Spectrum

  • Depression and Burnout
  • Anxiety and Phobias
  • Self-Esteem and Social Problems
  • Eating Disorders
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders
  • Stressful Life Events and Traumatic Experiences
  • Difficulties in Emotion Regulation
  • AD(H)D

Therapy Process

The duration of psychotherapy depends on the specific concern and therapeutic needs. We discuss the therapy process together. Up to 24 sessions are considered short-term therapy, and 60 to 80 sessions are considered long-term therapy.

1

Diagnostics and Goal Clarification

The first sessions serve to get to know each other and for diagnostic clarification. Symptoms and their severity are recorded. We then develop concrete therapy goals accordingly.

2

Therapy Phase

Therapy usually takes place once a week. Based on the formulated goals and concerns for therapy, appropriate psychotherapeutic methods are selected. The aim is to build new behavioral and thought patterns to cope better in everyday life and feel more comfortable.

3

Closing Phase

The skills developed in therapy are increasingly applied independently in everyday life. Step by step, the frequency of sessions is reduced until there is a feeling that therapy has fulfilled its purpose.

Costs

Private Health Insurance / Allowance / Medical Care

Psychotherapeutic services are billed according to the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP). In principle, the services are recognized and covered after appropriate application. Depending on your individual tariff, however, there may be restrictions, such as a limited number of reimbursable sessions or only partial cost coverage. In such cases, private co-payment is required. Therefore, I recommend inquiring about the exact conditions with your insurance before starting therapy.

The initial sessions (consultations and trial sessions) are usually covered without prior approval. I will of course support you with the application process for further therapy units.

Self-Pay

The services can also be used privately, independent of insurance. Billing is also according to the GOP.

This has the advantage that formalities are eliminated and psychotherapy can be started more quickly. In addition, there is discretion towards insurance companies.
